Fibroblast & Diathermy Course

One-day professional training

intermediate · 1 day · 10 lessons

About this course

At Melbourne Skin Academy, our one-day Fibroblast & Diathermy Course is designed for skin professionals wanting to expand their treatment offering with advanced cosmetic techniques for suitable superficial skin concerns.
This specialised course focuses on the safe and effective use of fibroblast and diathermy technology for the cosmetic treatment of suitable concerns, including milia, cherry angiomas, sebaceous hyperplasia, seborrhoeic keratoses, selected benign superficial lesions and superficial broken capillaries, where appropriate and within your professional scope of practice.
You'll learn far more than how to operate a device. We focus on skin anatomy, lesion recognition, treatment suitability, device technology, treatment parameters, contraindications, safety, wound healing and aftercare, giving you the knowledge to make informed decisions about each client.
Combining focused theory, live demonstration and supervised hands-on training, this course is designed to build your technical skills and confidence while maintaining a strong focus on safety and appropriate treatment selection.

Prerequisites may apply depending on your professional background, treatment scope and the technology you intend to use. If you are new to the dermal industry, we highly recommend completing our Advanced Skin Science Course before enrolling.

Important

This course focuses on the cosmetic treatment of suitable, pre-assessed skin concerns. It does not train students to diagnose skin lesions or determine whether a lesion is medically benign.
Any lesion that is suspicious, changing, undiagnosed or outside your scope of practice must be appropriately referred for medical assessment prior to treatment.
Upon successful completion of the written and practical assessment, you will receive your Melbourne Skin Academy Certificate of Completion.
